Yallingup.

Yallingup is also home to the picturesque Yallingup lagoon; a naturally formed ocean pool which is picture-perfect for swimming laps, snorkelling and bathing for families. A grassed foreshore reserve is kitted out with BBQs, a kids’ adventure playground, viewing platforms, showers and public rest rooms, which means you can set up all day at the beach and stick around for the iconic WA sunset over the ocean, with a beer in one hand and snagger and bun in the other.

Swim, Relax and Enjoy.

Yallingup is the surfing Mecca of the South West. As the original birth place of surfing in WA, this location boasts world class waves out front, and, at surrounding beaches likes Rabbits and Supertubes. ‘Not so serious’ surfers can head to The Cove out-front or Smiths Beach, and for beginners, touch base with Yallingup Surf School and book a lesson. Check out them out @yallingupsurfschool or call 0429 881 221.

Take a hike.

Yallingup is surrounded by the Leeuwin-Naturaliste National Park and you can access the Cape to Cape walking trails for day-long treks (or shorter) along the rugged and scenic coastline. We’d also encourage our guests to stop in at NgIlgli Cave for a completely surreal underground experience and to gather some insight and appreciation of the local Wardandi history of the area. There is also the Wardan Aboriginal Centre near Injidup, to further enhance your cultural experience. The Wardandi people gave Yallingup its name, which means the ‘place of love’ and we love Yallingup too!
